A couple of quick things

Hello! I know I said I wasn’t going to blog while I was in Wellington… but, things change. I realised that was kinda unrealistic. So, here’s some news.

Firstly, I need to say a huge thank you to my patrons. Because of their support (and some help from Studylink), I am now the owner of a tablet! I don’t know exactly what to do with it – it seems too precious to even touch – but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it soon enough. If you have any apps you think might be of use to me, please let me know. I’m saving for Dragon voice recognition software. That will help me on days when my back or fingers are too sore to write.

Secondly, my course has started in Wellington and it’s so great. It’s so, so great. I feel extremely lucky to be able to take this time to study – and I need to say another huge thank you to my friends who have opened up their wonderful home to me. It is a beautiful, warm, calm place by the beach and it is the perfect place to write. So I have no excuses!

I do want to focus on the course, but the reality is: I still need an outlet. And often that’s what this is. So there will probably be sporadic posts over the next few months.

Finally, if you’re interested in poetry or hearing about my study, I’m hoping to put some stuff up at writehanded.org/poetry as I go along.

Peace.

WH.
