MCH is pretty much my new best friend

Oh, my GOD. You HAVE to be kidding me.

Platoon commander Lieutenant Tony Loorparg poses with a slow loris, a small nocturnal mammal, at Nanga Mepi in Sarawak, Borneo. 1965.
The guy has a slow loris for mascot. Look at the arm huggage! I think I might just die.

I was wondering about the possibility of a package deal – like, as in, one solider + one loris – until my lovely friends at Ministry for Culture and Heritage pointed out that the photo was taken in 1965. So dashing Tony would be at least 60. Err. Not so much.

I’ll just take the loris.

Thanks to James Mackay at MCH for the pic!
