The Labour party has kickstarted a campaign to collect evidence of WINZ mistreatment.
Under the banner “Fair treatment in hard times,” the campaign aims to continue what I started – creating a database of qualitative data around mistreatment of beneficiaries by Work and Income.
Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, especially when they have fallen on hard times. Under National, people have been trampled on when they need help the most from Work and Income.
Labour wants to hear your stories, so we can work to achieve better services when we’re in Government.
– Sue Moroney, Labour spokesperson for Social Development.
If you’ve been poorly treated, had documents lost, been given the wrong advice, had your benefit delayed or removed, or in any other way suffered at the hands of WINZ, please consider sharing your story.
