Hi. I’m Sarah Lin.
I’m an author, journalist, essayist and poet .
I write about chronic illness, politics, social welfare, and feminist issues. I write about whatever’s making me angry or passionate or curious. I have an ongoing and troubled affair with the semicolon.
I’m available for small writing and editing projects – they don’t have to have anything to do with the topics above. If you need an editor or writer, please get in touch.

About ‘Writehanded’
My Writehanded banner was created for me by my dear friend Jem Yoshioka.
I’ve been using the pseudonym Writehandedgirl for some time. It was a silly and impulsive choice but it’s come to mean a lot to me. The two icons in my banner are a quill pen, for obvious reasons, and a spoon.
The spoon relates to chronic illness. Spoon Theory is a terminology and a concept used by people who are ill to explain and communicate that experience to others. Here’s some more things I wrote about it.
